We at BlackStar/MusicianWear.com,  place a high priority on customer privacy.  We recognize that the future of our business depends upon our customers feeling that their personal data is safe when they shop with us online. 

We do not offer our customer list or any information about our customers to any other company or person for sale, nor do we have any cooperative agreements to provide any customer information to any other company.  We do not receive payment for any link you may click on our site.  We do not receive incentives from any supplier to promote their products any differently than we do our other products. 

Unlike other sites, you are not required to open an account or create any type of  password-accessed "user account" or other identity to shop with us.  You never have to "Login" to shop here.  You need only supply the data called for to process your order;  your name, address, an email address for contacting you, card information, etc.  We never provide your email address to any other person or company for any reason.  It is highly unlikely that we will ever send you any email, with the exception of an automatically-generated email sent to the email address you provide within minutes of placing your order, that confirms receipt of, and the details of your order.

You can, if you wish, create a password protected, online info "account" that stores your non-credit card data, such as SHIP TO and BILL TO addresses & other, safer data. This is for frequent buyers who  like to save time  by not having to enter the same data over & over again.  Credit card data is never stored & you must input it each time you want to place an order. This helps to keep your most valuable data safe.

As mentioned on our "About Security" page, we employ 128 bit,  SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology and Digital Certificates to ensure the safety of our customers data.   Our encryption is the finest in the world.   This page will describe for you our security views and procedures along with our suggestions on how to protect your personal information in both the online and "real world" environments.

We do use our customers data here at BlackStar to evaluate our products and services.  For example, we take notice of what items & sizes sell the best, how many male & female customers we have and other such information that will help us improve our business. But this data is never provided to anyone else by us.

We employ a strict security policy on all orders, such as requiring that the "BILL TO" address provided matches exactly the address on file with the card issuing bank.   We refuse orders that fail this and other, standard security procedures.  This is done for our mutual protection but it's also doing our part to help the internet be a safer place to shop.  We report all suspected fraudulent card usage to law enforcement.
