As we would travel around the United States and Europe, usually wearing a guitar company or guitar-oriented shirt, people would often stop and ask where they could find one like it.  We would suggest local musical instrument stores but the answer was always, "We tried that...they never have them".  Once in Germany, a young man offered us 50 Marks (about $30.00) for a used, worn and slightly sweaty JACKSON GUITARS t-shirt.  "I don't care......I just want the shirt!" the young man explained.  Similar stories began to unfold on regular basis.

Having spent many years working for or with several of these guitar companies, part of the job was designing their t-shirts and helping them start artist and merchandise programs.   Knowing that these guitar companies would like to have their t-shirts more visible to the public, the idea of MusicianWear.com was created.  Once the internet matured to the point of safe transactions and widespread shopping, the idea was put into place.  Now, there would be an online store that would make available, t-shirts & related items that these companies have always had, but the general public seldom saw.

In addition to helping the companies, we began to see the demand for all types of t-shirts related to guitars, drums and musicians.  We introduced new designs like "Famous Guitars" ,  "Most Guitars Wins",   "American Traditions" and other such non-logo wear items and they remain among our most popular sellers.  Our customers served as inspiration for our newest non-logo shirts, "Musician For Life",  "Guitar For Life" and "Born to Rock...Forced to Work". 

MusicianWear.com parent BLACKSTAR has been in business since 1993.  BlackStar began as a manufacturer of one of the world's top selling guitar accessory items, the ROADIE RENCH.  We were the original inventors of the predecessor to the ROADIE RENCH, the "Guitool".    Also born from need, the ROADIE RENCH is a 10-in-1 guitar adjustment tool, that is much easier to find and use than the loose tools most guitar players have.  The ROADIE RENCH is still made today and is sold all over the world.  You can find the ROADIE RENCH inside the MusicianWear.com store also.
